Artist’s Statement

My work begins on location in the raw, wild Canadian backcountry. I’m captivated by the dramatic interplay of the constantly moving wind over land, water, and skies and seek to tell the story on canvas. I developed a style that interprets the choreography of movement with an undulating form to let the viewer’s eye move freely through the scene.
